Good evening all you beautiful women. Before I add tonight's post, I'm going to add the comment that I actually got this tip from reading an article written by makeup artist Bobbi Brown. It's a wonderful idea, so I wanted to share it with all of you. For those unfamiliar with Bobbi Brown, she is a makeup artists to the stars, and has phenomenal talent that I can only stand back and admire.
Her tip was: Instead of the typical makeup brushes, try various artists brushes. You can find these in the art supply section of hobby stores, as well as in artist supply stores.
Until tomorrow,
Jamie

Staying well hydrated
Good morning all you lovely ladies! Today's tip is about staying well hydrated. The importance of this should not be overlooked. For starters, your body will feel better. Aside from that, when you are dehydrated, lines in your face appear to be more prominent, which in fact, they are. When the lines are deeper, of course, your foundation and powder will have more of a tendency to collect in those lines, which may define them even more. If this is the case for you, whetherr it's as a sign of aging or a result of dehydration, you will need to use less foundation and powder to counteract the effect. Back to the subject a hand, each person needs to drink 6-8 8 ounce glasses of water a day to keep from becoming dehydrated. An easy way to track this is to mark it down each time you drink a glass, or to drink a glass every 2 hours while you are awake.
Much love,
Jamie

Wash those brushes!!
Good evening to all of you beautiful butterflies! Tonight I'm not just talking about hairbrushes, although you need to wash them frequently as well. I'm talking about your makeup brushes. They have a tendency to hold on to old makeup, dead skin, and dirt. When this stuff hits your face, it can cause your pores to clog. So, want the scoop on how to clean them? Run your sink about halfway full of hot water. Add a couple of drops of tea tree oil. Swish the brushes around in it several times. Once you've done this, lay the brushes on a paper towel until completely dry. Once they are dry, swirl the bristles around to restore their shape. I reccomend doing this once a month.

Today's tip
Hello all of you beautiful women! Today's tip is about facial care. I know that your mother probably already told you this, but it is so very important to wash your face every night before you go to bed. No one wants to wake up with a nasty lipstick stain on their pillowcase, but guess what....the other cosmetics and dirt left behind can cause nasty pillow stains too. Unless you have dry or sensitive skin, a toner may not be too bad of an idea either. Sometimes, despite the fact that the skin has been washed, dirt and cosmetic residue remains behind. Don't believe me? Try this one night: Wash your face. Soak a cotton ball with toner, and then clean your face with it. Now take a look at that cotton ball. Nasty, huh? Follow up with a good night moisturizer, and you're set to meet and greet tomorrow . Try our night serum. I bet you'll love it. By the way, I am offering a sample of our Timewise day&night creams. Email me with your details. Supplies of this are limited, so it's first come first served. (jamieball@marykay.com)

The last 2 days worth
Hi everyone! It's sunny and warm here in New Mexico, and thanks to technology, I am able to work outside today. Anyway, I'm in process of moving tese posts over from Facebook, as I wanted something that would be accessible to all wothout needing to register for anything. I will try to keep this updated on a daily basis, but as I have children and home as my priorities, it may be evening before the day's tip shows up :) So, without further ado:
Tip 1: If the eyeshadow color you are using is not quite intense enough for the occasion, try dampening the tip of te applicator you are using before rubbing it across the eyeshadow. This will lend itself to a much more intense color, while not harming your eyeshadow in the least.
Tip 2: Sunscreen - I cannot stress the importance of this enough. Before you go out, please be sure to apply sunscreen underneath your makeup, or to use a foundation that contains sunscreen. You will be doing your skin a favor by doing this even on cloudy days. Those cute freckles you see are not hereditary. They are a sign of sun damage. You are best off to use something that blocks both UVA and UVB rays.
